About Us

Specialists in Garden Design, Maintenance and Lawn Care

At Ginkgo Garden Design, we create and maintain practical outdoor spaces across Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim. We focus on gardens that work in real life, not just on paper. Every project is shaped around how you actually use your outdoor space.

Ivan, founder of Ginkgo Garden Design, leads every aspect of the business. He specialises in garden design, landscaping, maintenance and expert lawn care. In addition, he brings hands-on experience from years of working in Irish gardens in all conditions.

Ivan’s approach is simple. He tends every garden as if it is his own. As a result, clients receive a service built on care, consistency and pride in the finished work.

Our Approach to Garden Care and Lawn Care

We believe a garden should be both beautiful and functional. Therefore, we always focus on long-term results rather than short-term fixes. In addition, we consider how your garden changes through the seasons.

Ivan has worked on everything from routine maintenance to full garden transformations. Because of this experience, he understands what works in Irish soil and weather conditions. He pays close attention to lawn care, planting knowledge and exposed coastal environments.

We also know that communication matters. Therefore, we keep everything clear and simple from the start. For example, if we say we will arrive at 10am on Tuesday, we will be there. This level of reliability is central to how we work.

Lawn Care and Garden Maintenance Expertise

Lawn Care is one of our core services. However, we do not treat it as a standalone task. Instead, we see it as part of a wider garden system that includes soil health, drainage and planting structure.

We apply practical solutions such as aeration, scarifying and overseeding where needed. As a result, lawns become healthier, thicker and more resilient over time.

We combine lawn care with ongoing garden maintenance. This ensures your outdoor space remains tidy and manageable throughout the year. Therefore, you can enjoy your garden without constant stress or upkeep.

A Team Built on High Standards

Ginkgo Garden Design is not just one person. Instead, it is a small team built around shared values and high standards.

All team members are carefully chosen. In addition, each person is selected for their commitment to quality and reliability. Every job is completed with the same level of care that Ivan delivers personally.

We take pride in doing work properly so we never cut corners, even when the task is complex or time consuming. As a result, clients receive consistent results across every project.

Transparency and Trust in Every Project

• We believe trust is essential in garden work.
That is why we keep communication open and honest at every stage.
• We provide clear updates and straightforward advice.
For example, holiday home owners and overseas clients receive before and after photos and videos. This ensures you always know exactly what is happening in your garden.
• We explain what needs to be done and why.
As a result, you can make informed decisions with confidence.

Gardens Designed for Real Life

Every garden we work on is designed for real use. Therefore, we consider maintenance, durability and seasonal change from the beginning.

We always aim to reduce unnecessary complexity. For example, planting schemes are designed to be attractive but manageable. Landscaping solutions are chosen for long-term performance.

Because of this approach, our gardens are easier to maintain and more enjoyable to use. As a result, clients spend less time worrying about upkeep and more time enjoying their space.

Why Choose Ginkgo Garden Design

Choosing the right garden company matters. That is why we focus on delivering reliability, quality and clear communication in every project.

Ivan’s hands-on experience ensures every detail is considered properly. Every member of the team works to the same high standards across all services including lawn care, landscaping and maintenance.

We understand Irish gardens and Irish weather conditions. As a result, we create outdoor spaces that last and perform well year after year.
